Nevendon Manor is the ideal backdrop for a professional Photo shoot, TV or Film location.
The Grade II listed building is of Architectural or Historical Interest and is believed to have been built in the 16th Century.
Set in its very own partly moated grounds, the house stands near to the centre of approximately 7 acres of land and is flanked by curving brick walls which give access to the gravelled chestnut-lined drive, leading to the house and other outbuildings including a two bay cart lodge and two stables (one of which is converted to look like an old-fashioned tavern).
The grounds are principally laid to lawn.
Close to the house is a willow-lined pond with mature trees featuring throughout the grounds. A footbridge across the former moat leads to a secret hideaway garden which you enter through ruined walls, taking you through a delightfully wild woodland area with grass walkways and a further pond. There is also a pretty walled courtyard garden attached to the east side of the house. The interior is packed full of period features, notably the original oak internal doors complete with fretwork and original hinges, many fireplaces plus a deep inglenook fireplace, beamed ceilings with exposed timbers and flagstone floor. Nevendon Manor also homes a variety of animals which include 4 alpacas, 2 goats,4 pig, 2 peacocks, 1 with a full tail and a selection of geese, ducks, guinea fowl, cockerels, chickens and the resident white doves.
Nevendon Manor has also been the location for several productions including a recent music video shoot for the singer Liv Austen. The video was directed by Ben Trombacco and can be seen here:
“I have used Nevendon Manor for several photo shoots and filming assignments and each time I’ve found the venue to be more than what I was looking for from a location. Having the privacy to shoot on the spacious and varied grounds has been a real benefit to all my projects. On two particular occasions, facing tight deadlines and without a clear plan for what I needed to shoot that day, I remember booking the manor and being delighted at how easy it was to be inspired by the grounds and able to get the shots I needed. As a filmmaker, many of my collaborators live in the south east and need a location that’s easy to get to. Being close to the A127 many of my actor/model and crew contacts can get to the location with no issues. If you’re looking for a beautiful location with interesting and unique spaces all year round then I would recommend Nevendon Manor.”
